The overall goal of MAT treatment is to improve the communication between each muscle and the nervous system so the the muscle's contractibility improves. This improvement, in turn, increases joint stability, mobility, range of motion and life/sports performance in addition to preventing injuries and decreasing pain. This form of bodywork utilities specific mobility assessments along with a specific massage technique on the muscles at their attachment sites.
